Dear Parents,
Medicines
Can we please ask that all medicines are brought to the office by an adult so we can ensure they are administered correctly. We have recently had a couple of incidents where children have brought medication into school, and it was in their bag. This does pose a risk to other children so please ensure this does not happen. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Gorilla Class Assembly
Our Gorilla Class will be leading assembly on Wednesday 12th February at 2.45pm, all parents are welcome to join us.
OFSTED Report
As you are aware the school was visited by OFSTED before the Christmas Break. The report is now available on our website.
Term Dates 2025-26
Please find below the term dates for next academic year. These are now on the school website to help you plan ahead.
Governors
We currently have a vacancy for a parent governor. This needs to be a parent connected to school so any of our parents or grandparents are eligible.
School governors are volunteers who help us to run the school. They’re involved in decisions about all aspects of managing the school – such as running buildings and budgets, supporting staff and setting standards of school discipline.
Governors also help to make big decisions about the school’s long-term goals. They support headteachers but also ask questions and make sure the headteacher is taking the school in the right direction. If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Mrs Conway for more information.
Children’s Mental Health Week
Children’s Mental Health Week this year falls on the 3rd-9th February. We will be marking the occasion with a number of activities, based around the characters of Inside Out, during the week to promote this important topic. On Friday 7th February the staff and children are invited to wear their uniform inside out! This is obviously encouraged but optional.
World Book Day
World Book Day this year is on Thursday 6th March 2025. This year school will have a theme of Fairy Tales. The children will be completing activities around different Fair Tales as well as creating their own versions. We will be dressing up as book characters on Thursday 6th March 2025 – Fairy Tale characters are encouraged, but all are welcome.
If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Many thanks for your continued support
